Mike Harkin, the new principal at Columbia High School, was a special guest. He spoke about the “Student Leadership Grooming” program at the school.

He also discussed trying to line up initiatives at the school with Rotary in such areas as the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program, Rotary Youth Exchange, scholarship programs, murals at the school, and work on the the Star of Hope memorial at the East Greenbush Public Library.

Mike said he will try to arrange to bring several students to our next Third Thursday breakfast meeting, scheduled for 7 a.m. on May 17.
