This Thursday, June 14, we celebrate Flag Day.
For a relatively young country, the United States has had many official flags over its 242 years, and that’s not even counting such early banners as the Pine Tree Flag (“An Appeal to Heaven”) and the Rattlesnake Flag (“Don’t Tread On Me”), as well as a host of regional and movement flags.
