Notes 6/25/26

The SRC Rotary year in celebration was held at Debbie and Peter Browns home on June 25, 2026.  Thanks to them for hosting and cooking hamburgers and bratwurst and desert!  With the Browns intended move, this may be the last party on this property. The event was well attended and included family members and friends as well. Phil welcomed everyone and began the program by thanking Team Rotary for all the accomplishments this past year.  He went through a list of accomplishments and while doing so, recognized members and family for their efforts. He gave out patriotic memorabilia including caps and flags. Phil will continue as President for another year. Phil was instrumental in raising funds for both Global and Local initiatives that continue with our goals of doing good in the world. Our 501c4 status was re-established. Even though we lost some members for the coming year, the Club recognized their past contributionsand would welcome them back. 

The first Summer Casual will be a Fillet Cookout sponsored by Jim and Roberto at Jim’s home on 8 Elmwood Drive on July 9, 2026, at 6pm. Dinner will include fillet mignon, backed potatoes, Cowboy Beans, Klondike Bars and bread. Pool and Hot Tub will be open. The price of the event will be $35/person or $40/family.  Guests are requested to bring an appetizer or dessert. Please contact Roberto or Jim if you are planning on attending as we also need a head count. They will need to know the final count by July 5^th so the fillets can be ordered from the butcher. Regrets also help so we don’t need to keep reaching out.
