
The first Summer Casual was a Fillet Cookout sponsored by Jim and Roberto at Jim’s home on 8 Elmwood Drive on July 9, 2026 with over 30 folks attending. Dinner included fillet mignon, backed potatoes, Cowboy Beans, Klondike Bars and bread. Guests brought appetizers or desserts. Pool and Hot Tub were open at this family event. The dessert hit was the American Flag Cake. Thanks to everyone for all the teamwork and effort. It was very fun event and the Club raised over $750.
Included in the guests were Troop 41 Scoutmaster, Dan Wagner, and Assistant Scoutmaster, Jim Meltz. They spoke on the significant growth the Boy Scout Troop has made in the past yea, and thanked us for our past and present support.
The Global in Kenya is coming to completion and Peter thanked those who have been involved. EGB School district is hosting a Community Event on August 28th with more information to come.
Dean would like to announce the GOL golf tournament fundraiser on Thursday September 24 in Mechanicsville. Dean and Doris are offering to sponsor a foursome of SRC club members if they register with Dean by July 31.

On Friday September 17th Pat and Phil will be hosting a Friday “Happy Hour” at the S and S Brewery at 174 Middle Road in Nassau. We will be there about 5 pm to get some tables but feel free to come by 6 pm.
On Thursday, July 30th at 2:00pm the Club will be seeing “Newsies” at Mac-Haydn theater in Chatham. The cost of tickets at $58.50. Here is a list of people who have RSVP’d and number of tickets, if you are not on the list, please reach out to Kevin.
